Dr. Brueggemann will give a presentation entitled, “The Counterworld of the Psalms.” Dr. Brueggemann poses the question: Why do we have a love/hate relationship with the Psalms? We cling to the Psalms, we use them in our daily liturgies and prayer, and yet we limit them to just a few favorites. What can the world of the psalms tell us today? The event will be part of a speaker series at the Angelica Center for Spiritual Living at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans, MA.
